STORY ABOUT THESE AMAZING MILES this van was originally custom built by NorCal (my favorite full size van convertor) for the State of California, on behalf of a state resident. This occurred as a result of a program that existed for about 10-15 years in California that provided that people with certain disabilities, in specific roles or jobs, were to be provided a personal-use wheelchair van that met their specific needs. The van was not completed until mid-2006 and by that time the intended person had died. At some time since then, another citizen briefly used it until a van was completed for them that exactly fit their needs. For its entire life, other than that brief use, this was in a storage facility in Sacramento. It even still has a bit of new car smell and no matter where you look, including underneath, it looks virtually the same as a brand new van. Highlights of This Van: *apx. $1,200 of new and very recent mechanical service: details below (extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $1,200)
* Amazingly deeply lowered floor creates whopping 54 inches of entry clearance, at the lowest point! This is an amazing feat, considering there is no tall roof.

Options and Equipment THE VAN: Began as a standard wheelbase ¾ ton model (not long or short) with a moderate level of features, as typically found on the XLT model vans. Has the famously great 5.4 liter Triton motor and auto with overdrive. Has popular power and convenience features, such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; stereo with cassette; etc. This van does have factory rear ventilation, which has many vents in the ceiling.
Goodies MOBILITY:
this was converted by NorCal, which is my favorite convertor of full size wheelchair vans. The government of California was paying for the conversion and there seems to have been no expense or cost avoided. Here are the primary features of this amazing van : Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly. History of OwnershipSame owner since new, which was the State of California. Certified This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent third- party service and repair facility. Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory. For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here. Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation. And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership. As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS". Here are the new and recent items: New: Service lift and power doors; air cleaner; oil/lube/filter; wipers; Note: This has new tires. There were apx. 4,000 on the original tires and they were replaced due to being past what is conservatively considered a desirable/acceptable age. Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items:$1,200 (extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $1,200)
Carfax Report Summary (Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.) Nothing notably negative or unusual: no frame damage...no airbags deployed...no structural damage...no "red marks"...no major accident.
You Might Like To Know... * Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars. Summary of this Gem It is fun and exciting for me to be able to offer this incredibly unique and special van. It would be that, even if it had a normal amount of miles, due to its special features, but given these absurd miles AND the special features, it is a van that is special and exceptional beyond compare.
