Options and Equipment

THE VAN:

This is a well-equipped SE model, with 3.3 liter 6 cylinder and overdrive automatic. In addition to the common power and convenience features of power windows, locks, mirrors, tilt wheel and cruise control, it also has such features as: rear ventilation; upgraded interior and exterior trim; and more

MOBILITY and ADAPTIVE FEATURES

When new industry giant, Braun, converted this. It has a complete lowered floor conversion that includes these primary features:

* Power ramp out the passenger side slider door. This ramp stows vertically in the doorway area and is called a bi-fold ramp

* Power sliding side door. Door and ramp are operated with your choice of either: switches in multiple locations; wireless remote control

* "Kneeling" suspension causes the van to drop several inches lower in the rear, which creates a gentler ramp angle, which makes loading and unloading easier for everyone.

* Deeply lowered floor begins in front of original rear seat, and extends all the way to below the dash. This is smooth, level and firm, which is ideal for wheelchair maneuverability.

* Both front seat assemblies are easily removable in a couple of minutes, if you want or need to park a wheelchair in either front location.

* Slots to insert anchor straps in the floor in many locations, in order to secure a wheelchair.

* Includes 4 manual wheelchair anchor straps

* Wireless remote control for operating the power slider, power ramp and "kneeling" suspension

Ownership

A surgical nurse and retired professor owned this since the time it had 25,000 miles.

Certified

This vehicle is 'Certified': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis Certification process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent  third- party service and repair facility.  Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance  that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.

For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please

Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the Certified program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation.  And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership.  As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS

Summary of this Gem

Considering this price range, highly rejuvenated condition, fastidious previous owner, warranty included, etc...this van is at the peak of the value curve. Lots of "bang for the buck". This body style began in 2001 and went through the year 2007. This is greatly in the sweet-spot for being a very nice wheelchair van in this price range. A few thousand dollars less obtains a lot less van and a few thousand dollars more gets you only a very minimally better van. Therefore, this one is a super overall value.

Very special and easy-to-use seat base has the ability to turn 90 degrees (nifty, somewhat magical mechanical design) Seat feels and functions normal when in usual position

Deeply lowered floor, as indicated by the ledge in front of rear seat, creates generous entry clearance and interior headroom

This is a custom power sunroof from the leading, high quality company, named Webasco. This was added a few years ago and works great, with ability to tilt up and slide back.

Simple, easy, classic controls. Nice, new stereo with accessory port.

Drivers seat fits and feels virtually the same as an unmodified van
