General Description
This began as a half ton standard length (not long or short) model with famously great small V8 (4.6 liter) and automatic with overdrive. It began with common power and convenience features on the nice XLT trim level, such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; chrome bumpers and trim pieces; upgraded interior and exterior accents, etc

Touring/Cruising conversion
When new, this received a very fancy conversion which includes such features as: large windows with vents and screens; running boards with integrated wheel-opening flares; rear seat which folds flat; interior real wood trim; additional interior lighting; rear ventilation; special striping and graphics; etc.

Mobility and Adaptive Features
When new, this van received a major conversion to enable easy, safe, comfortable wheelchair access. The features of this package includes these primary features:

* Side access Wheelchair lift with folding platform that allows access for able-bodied passengers when the lift is stowed (in other words: lift does not block side entry when it is stowed)

* Deeply lowered floor in middle section of the van. Approximately from immediately behind the front seats, back to directly in front of the rear seat, this floor has been modified substantially, making it deeply lowered. This creates not only generous headroom when inside the middle of the van, but it also creates comfortable entry and exit clearance for the person in the wheelchair, and any helpers or passengers using the side entry.

* New flooring system in middle area: This is my favorite improvement on wheelchair vans, which is very helpful to the person in the wheelchair and able-bodied folks as well. The floor will be greatly improved as the original carpet and pad will be removed and the metal floor will be covered with a special rubber-like material. This is awesome, as it is tough, attractive, easy to clean, and super for maneuvering the wheelchair on.

Summary
This will be a super van for someone who wants and needs the benefits of a lift and additional clearance and headroom, without the overall height of a tall roof van. This will go into most parking garages, carports, garages, drive through windows, etc...and yet it accommodates the person in a wheelchair very nicely. Plus, this van doesn't look like a wheelchair van, which for many folks is a welcome bonus!

This seat is a rare option on a few mobility conversions. It can stay in or easily go out. Is intended for a person to sit in who is in the "attendant" role, helping the person in wheelchair.
