General Description
This began as a regular length (not long or short) 3/4 ton with moderate size V8 (5.7/350) auto with overdrive and common power and convenience features such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; fancy wheels; chrome bumpers and grill; stereo; etcetera

Touring/cruising conversion
When this van was new, there was a major, national-brand company named Tiara, that converted it. At that time it received an extensive package of luxury and convenience features such as: moderately tall, contoured roof; functional running boards with integrated wheel opening flares; large picture windows with vents; much real wood interior pieces; rear ventilation; various interior and exterior upgrades to appearance and cosmetics; interior storage bins; extra lighting; and more.

Mobility and Adaptive Features: Below, is the extensive list of mobility features
* Lift stowed in the side door area. Uses power to go up/down and in/out and the lift platform is able to split and fold in such a way as to create the ability for able-bodied folks to go in and out when the lift is stowed. Very notably, this lift is a helpful style, because it power-folds when stowed, allowing able-bodied folks easy passage in and out of the van.

* Power opening side doors, allow some folks in a wheelchair to load, drive and unload, without assistance.

* Special floor: this has what is one of my favorite improvements on wheelchair vans, which is very helpful to the person in the wheelchair and able-bodied folks as well. I consider this feature to be an improvement that most wheelchair vans ought to have, old or new. You see, if you pay close attention to how floors typically are in personal use wheelchair vans, you will notice that they are usually not actually solid, smooth and level. Rather, they are somewhat lumpy, bumpy and not as easy to maneuver a wheelchair on as they can be. This is because the factory metal floor of a van is not actually smooth, it has ridges and contours...plus has a carpet pad which wheelchair wheels sink into a bit, creating resistance to maneuvering. This floor was greatly improved by removing the existing carpet and pad, from the front seats all the way to the rear seat, and then installing wood directly over the lumpy, bumpy, contoured metal floor. And so it became a smooth, solid, level floor. Then, quality, commercial vinyl flooring was used to cover the wood. This material is tough and easy to clean. This van has this new flooring package, which notably improves the interior function and livability of the van for everyone.

* Includes 4 metal anchor points for the floor, to attach anchor straps to, for securing a wheelchair

* Includes 4 anchor straps for securing the wheelchair

* Switch locations on the dash and by the rear taillight, for operating the power side doors and lift

Summary
In the past 11 years, we have been able to offer fewer than 10 wheelchair vans (out of more than 400) with prices below $10,000. Yes, this one has lived for many years. However, it has had an easy life, and after receiving our extensive cosmetic and functional Rejuvenation process, it will be a great wheelchair van, even at this low price.

Status

Rejuvenation has begun: I have recently acquired this van and the extensive rejuvenation process has begun, which is carried-out by various professional shops and specialists. If you are interested in securing this van for your future purchase (many of my vans are spoken for in this way prior to completion of rejuvenation) please feel free to call or mail me with any questions

NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. I will post initial information here about each van as I purchase, transform, and then make them available for sale. From the time I purchase a van until my transformation process is completed, averages approximately 4-6 weeks.
