Options and Equipment

THE VAN:
This is the highly equipped "Touring" model. Has the famously great 3.8 liter motor and this is one of the first years with the 6 speed auto trans, which enables this van to reach a very respectable upper 20's highway MPG. Has common power and convenience features such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; CD stereo system; Also has a long list of options and benefits such as: rear ventilation; manual 3-zone temperature control; both sliding doors and rear hatch are powered; leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter; alloys; extensive overhead console with extra lighting, storage, etc; Plus this has the nifty and versatile "stow and go" seating with second row captains chairs. This enables folding all middle and rear seats into the floor in a matter of a minute or two, resulting in a very flat floor from front seats all the way to the rear.

This vehicle is 'Certified': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis Certification process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent third- party service and repair facility. Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.

Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the Certified program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation. And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership. As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. Chrysler Town and Country is the very close cousin to the Dodge Caravan. They are fundamentally the same van, however, Town and Country is the upscale, more refined and more attractive of the two.

Summary of this Gem

This is a wonderful van in a price range that is affordable for many folks. It is equipped at a level higher than most and has very respectable miles. Plus, with this van you get “Certified” condition, with a drivetrain warranty included. Definitely, this van is a super overall value.
