PRICE: $8,900

Highlights of this super van:

**apx. $3,700 of new and very recent mechanical service: details below
(extensive investment in cosmetic rejuvenation is in addition to this $3,700!)

* Extremely desirable and rare history, please read below

* 8.1-liter (496) motor is rare in a van and its super awesome! (do some research and you'll learn how special this motor is, if you need to tow)

*** NOTE: I have been in various aspects of the auto industry for my entire life, since the time I was born, when my parents owned a shop. I know what makes a rig special. This van is special. We bought this van with the intention of using it as a tow vehicle for a single car-hauling trailer. We invested a lot of money into professionally making this van awesome. However my wife and I recently decided to slow down our business and simplify. This has only been used for one short trip to tow with (we have a much newer tow van also) and otherwise, it has only been driven unloaded around our local area, as an errand-runner.

Highlights of this SUPER van

* Was special ordered with a very unique blend of features. First, it is a one-ton with standard-length body with the awesome 8.1-liter motor, which is super rare. Secondly, it is a 5-passenger interior, which rarely existed with a one-ton and 8.1 motor. As for various features, although it did not have a lot of options when new, it does have a few, plus please see the extensive list of new items below. As for when it was ordered new, this van has: First and biggest…HD 8.1 motor and trans; rear ventilation with super ceiling vents and controls; cruise control; tilt wheel; side and rear vented windows; center console; large mirrors.

* Fresh custom: each of the following is new within the past 3,000 miles: nice tires and custom wheels; lower body textured material; both bumpers texture-coated; tinted windows; CD stereo with accessory jack; towing system with HD hitch and trailer brake system; modern high power headlights

"ONE OWNER" history of Ownership (until we acquired it 3,000 miles ago): was custom ordered by a utility company in a small town in Washington state. It was used for power meter replacements. The awesome and extremely valuable note is that until I bought it, this van had no hitch of any kind. It never towed! When I bought it, this van, which was designed to tow or haul heavy loads, had never towed anything and clearly carried no heavy loads inside either. I had the towing system added, but have only towed less than 500 miles with it. It is a rig built since new to be a towing beast, but has essentially never been used as such.

Note

This was owned by a government/utility agency that had a pro shop and took great care of this van. Therefore, in general, it had much care over the years, leading up to me buying it. They only sold it because of their policy regarding age of their fleet .

New functional:

Custom tires and wheels; front brakes; PS flush; tow system; tie rod ends; idler arm; steering box; alignment; wipers; lube and filter; rear shocks

Summary of this Gem

As you may notice by my extensive writing about this van...I absolutely LOVE this van! I suppose that the first person that sees and drives this, who has any concept of the value of a nice HD rig, will be very happy to buy this. I very seriously considered keeping it and selling our much newer van, but for various reasons we decided to sell this one. You see, during the time we owned this, there was all of the various cosmetic and functional being done to it, with hardly any use, and now we are selling it. I actually feel bad with letting it go, because it has been a labor of love making this van so darned nice, and it is so very capable. But it is time to let it go. Will this serve you as well as a new $50,000 van? No. Will it serve you as well as a used $30,000 van? Likely not. But it will serve you as well as any van for $20,000 or less, I'm sure of that. Thank you for reading...
