Options and Equipment

This was built when brand-new in Arizona by Vantage, which is now referred to as VMI.  It began as a very well equipped Dodge Grand Caravan, which has the 'Sport' package with full power equipment, dual A/C, driver and passenger climate adjustment and the Infinity high power stereo with CD and cassette with equalizer and more.

The mobility equipment is; full 10 inch lowered floor, which goes all the way up and under the dash, which enables the feature of being able to drive from a wheelchair (if you added hand controls) and also for the front passenger to be in a chair. And there are chair anchors in the front as well as the rear.  No one builds vans like VMI and the front seats are a perfect reflection of that fact. They are very easy to take in and out and yet perfectly comfortable, solid and well-positioned when they are in place.  It has the fully sequenced power sliding door and power ramp and also the automatic kneeling feature with auto-adjust air suspension. There are clearly labeled controls for these features on the dash and at the unit and on the rear outside body panel.

I presume if you are interested in this van, you already know that VMI is clearly the Lexus or Mercedes of the wheelchair van world.  If you are unclear as to why this is true, please call and I will be happy to chat with you about the exceptional greatness of VMI vans.

Dimensions, capacity and specifications: Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful if we communicate directly.

History of Ownership

Only two owners. Was bought new by a person in a luxury area of southern California. Since 2005 was owned by an older man in Colorado who was paralyzed since youth and in a chair with ventilator.

History of Care

As if often the case, the folks who owned this did not save receipts.  Of course, with such amazingly low miles, it has not needed anything major.  As part of my 'Rick's rejuvenation' process, I have each vehicle inspected, serviced and repaired in whatever area needed, which includes an oil change. The only item of note needed on this one was a coolant flush.

I personally drove this from L.A. (where the older man's son had it) and without doing a thing to it, the trip was flawless.

Also, as part of my 'Rick's rejuvenated' process with wheelchair vans, I have a special mechanic who is an expert in mobility equipment who performs a service and inspection on relevant components. Mobility equipment has been adjusted, lubricated and miscellaneous care given.

Carfax Report Summary

(Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.)

All good, no derogatory history.

You Might Like To Know...

* Part of my rejuvenation process is to conclude the detailing process with a paint sealant, which has a retail value of several hundred dollars and significantly protects the finish...plus also helps make the van look like new:)

* The dealer I know who sells new Vantage/VMI vans has told me a similarly equipped one of these is currently a hair under $50,000.

*  There are more than 700 dealers of these worldwide! Yes, this is the ultimate wheelchair van, best quality and easiest to have serviced, repaired or to buy parts or accessories for.

Summary of this Gem

This represents the finest wheelchair van brand available and the most wonderful, comfortable and easy to use. And I have applied my complete 'Rick's rejuvenation' process to it. Surely this one has the lowest miles and is now in the most exceptional condition of any VMI/Vantage van in this price range.
