Options and Equipment

THE VAN: Began as a 1/2 ton van with 5.8 liter V8, with XLT trim level, including such features as: power windows, locks, mirrors, tilt, cruise, stereo, chrome bumpers, upgraded inside and outside trim, etc.

GOODIES:  This was converted when brand new into a touring/cruising model by a premium conversion company called "Advantage".  This included a long list of exterior  features such as: tall, contoured roof; running boards and wheel opening flares; very fancy paint-scheme and graphics; fancy wheels; etc.   and the interior gained features such as: lots of real wood trim; overhead area for audio/video system; custom lighting throughout; power rear seat folds to a bed; and much more...

MOBILITY:  This was converted when it was a few years old into being able accommodate a person in a wheelchair.  The primary aspects of that conversion are:

* This has the most desirable  and valuable model of lift, which is made by Braun.  it is called a UVL, or under vehicle lift.  This lift has an 800 pound capacity and a large platform and as you can see, when stowed it virtually disappears.  No blockage or impeding on the use of the van.  This lift when new costs apx. $10-$12k!

* Has power opening side doors.  Very handy for all, and necessary for a person in a wheelchair who wants to load and unload themselves.

* Two long tracks on the floor allow for a wide range of methods, angles and locations for anchoring the wheelchair in the middle portion of the van.

* multiple switch locations for operating the lift and power doors.  This helps to accommodate a wide range of habits and methods of loading/unloading

Dimensions, capacity and specifications:

Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly.

History of Ownership

With the exception of the most recent apx. 5,000 miles, this has had only one owner.

History of Care

I have a fantastic, extensive file reflecting super care and service over the years on this van. See below for highlights.

Certified

This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects  included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process.   A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is that each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent  third-party service and repair facility.  Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists.   The  result is your assurance  that each of the 76 aspects  meets  or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory

For details regarding list of 76 cosmetic and mechanical aspects, please click here.

Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good, or
satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures.  Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation.  And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership.  As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic.  I refer to these as  "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS".  As for this vehicle:

New:  oil and lube; New ABS brake parts: new door lock assy; new wipers; New serpentine belt; new timing cover gasket; new water pump; cooling system service; new front shocks; new rear shocks; service mobility components

Recent:  new fuel pump; several oil and lube; new upper and lower ball joints; new tires; Nearly $1,000 A/C repairs/service; new fuel filter; alignment

Approximate retail value/cost of above-listed items: $5,000.  This is in addition to cost of extensive cosmetic rejuvenation

Nothing out of the ordinary....no 'red flags'.

* Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars.
