Options and Equipment

SPECIAL NOTE:
Many folks have never heard of this model of van. Most folks are now aware of the Hyundai brand and realize that Hyundai's have become one of the most desirable, reliable, highly rated and recommended brands in the world. But many folks are not aware that Hyundai offers minivans. This model of van is considered a step above the Kia Sedona minivan, which is much more common and is built by the close-cousin-company to Hyundai, which is Kia

THE VAN:
This began as a very nicely equipped model. Has the wonderful 3.8 liter 6 cylinder motor, which Hyundai uses and/or used, in many of their medium and larger vehicles (IE: Santa Fe SUV, Genesis large luxury sedan, Genesis Sport coupe, etc.). Has a 6-speed automatic for respectable MPG of mid-20's on the highway. Includes a desirable, long list of standard and optional features, such as: power windows, locks, and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; great stereo with CD; dual power slider side doors; 16 inch alloy wheels; power driver seat; side airbags and side curtain airbags; overhead computer for MPG, Temp, etc; Digital climate control for separate control of front and rear ventilation, etc.

MOBILITY
This van is super when used for its intended purpose, which is carrying a wheelchair or scooter. However, it does not carry a person in and out while seated in their device

* Platform style lift (far nicer than a crane-style lift, which are horrible, for several reasons) in the rear hatch area: this was built by one of the largest manufactures of this type of lift, named Joey. It is operated by a wired control on a cord. The platform is sizeable enough and the hatch area large enough, to accommodate most wheelchair and scooters. Simply push the button and the lift smoothly comes out and goes to the ground. Drive the chair or scooter on and push button to raise it back up and in. There are straps to secure the device while loading/unloading and driving.

Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly.

Ownership

Has had only two owners during its life

Certified

This vehicle is 'Certified': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis Certification process. A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is when each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent  third- party service and repair facility.  Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists. The result is your assurance  that each of the 76 aspects meets or exceeds the condition level of good, or satisfactory.

Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good or satisfactory, which the Certified program assures. Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation.  And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership.  As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic. I refer to these as NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS

This Hyundai Entourage is the very close cousin to the Kia Sedona (same parent company). Generally, Hyundai is considered the premium brand when comparing the two companies.

Summary of this Gem

Occasionally I offer vans such as this, that don’t have the ability to load and unload a person while they're in their chair or scooter. This device does not carry the person; rather, it does take the device in and out of the van. This van offers a very desirable total summary of: nice miles; immaculate overall condition; quality HD lift; very desirable and affordable model of van. For these reasons, this was a van that I knew someone would be happy to find offered here, in "Certified" condition.
