2008 Ford half Ton HD (1/2 ton heavy-duty in this unusual year is essentially same as a three quarter ton) with very extensive and valuable rear entry mobility conversion MILES 55,000 (total, actual miles) Price: $25,900 Valuable Note This is the first year of this newer version of the classic Ford van body style, which is nearly the same as a 2013 model. 2008 was the first major changes/improvements in full size Ford vans since 1993! General Description This white van with grey interior began as a standard length (not long or short) half ton with HD (heavy duty) package. This is a very unusual half ton that began in 08 and is essentially the same as a three quarter ton, such as having 8-lug wheels and rear disc brakes. It has a smallish size V8 (4.6 liter, creates sufficient power, and gets decent MPG) and has auto with overdrive. There is a nice list of comfort and convenience features, such as: power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel. Has alloy wheels and tinted windows. We will add a brand new CD stereo with accessory jack and we will add cruise control. Also has an awesome rear ventilation system with many ducts in the ceiling, for nice control of airflow. (many other wheelchair vans with rear HVAC systems have an inferior ducting and air control system) Goodies Will include extensive cosmetics upgrade package consisting of: useful and attractive body side moldings; custom graphics/striping; entry steps for both front seats Will include cosmetics upgrade package consisting of useful and attractive body side moldings; custom graphics/striping; entry steps for both front seats Mobility and Adaptive Features This was converted in southern California and meets the strictest ADA standards in the world. Among its primary features are: * Quite tall roof is contoured, resulting in reduced wind resistance and good appearance * Very tall rear entry doors, results in a whopping entry clearance of 60 inches! (more clearance than all but a few vans I have had in 10 years) * Braun Millennium lift (best heavy-duty lift in the world) has long and wide platform, with 800-pound capacity * Custom floor is level and smooth and has a special texture with some grip to it. * Currently configured with the two factory captains chairs (with armrests) plus two comfortable, single-person seats of decent size, along the passenger wall (additional seating could be added). The rearward single seat is able to flip up, if desiring more space for the wheelchair person to go on and off of the lift. There is sufficient open floor area in this van to haul two very large wheelchairs with very large occupants, plus their “attendants” seated approximately next to them. * Many anchor point locations in the floor for a variety of choices as to where to secure the wheelchair * Additional custom interior lighting throughout

NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. I will post initial information here about each van as I purchase, transform, and then make them available for sale. From the time I purchase a van until my transformation process is completed, averages approximately 4-6 weeks. Please visit this page periodically. Thank you, Rick |
