2007 Chrysler Town & Country "Touring" model with top-quality rear entry mobility conversion (can accommodate 2 scooters and/or wheelchairs) MILES 90,000 Price: $18,900 General Description Began as the well equipped "Touring" model. This was one of the most fancy models available. This includes the larger, more desirable 3.8 liter motor (versus the standard 3.3) and auto with overdrive. In addition to common power and convenience features such as: power windows, lock and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; intermittent wipers and CD stereo, this van also has many extra features such as: rear ventilation; both slider doors are powered; rear hatch is powered; alloy wheels; overhead tech console with details such as: MPG, temp, direction, miles to empty, etc.; leather steering wheel; traction control; plus more Mobility and Adaptive Features In 2009 a major national mobility company called, Freedom Motors, converted this. They are a 30 year old company in the Midwest. Their design, engineering and resulting vans are among the very best. The features of this conversion are * Deep channel in the floor: this is wide (inches more width than most other similar vans) and goes forward almost to the rear of the front seats. This creates nice entry clearance and interior headroom and allows for even fairly wide wheelchairs or scooters to go in and out. * Long, lightweight aluminum ramp: is nicely long, which creates a very gentle ramp angle for loading and unloading. Has nice handles on it for lifting up and down. This ramp could be operated by most grade-school age children, it's that easy. * Seats along the sides: these two seats are very smartly positioned, providing a very nice space between them to park a wheelchair or scooter. * Many anchor points: there are various anchor points in the channel area, for a wide range of choices as to exactly where to park the chair or scooter * Includes 4 anchor straps: this is for securing the wheelchair or scooter to the floor
Quite fancy "Touring" model with desirable extra rear seat. Has many comfort and convenience features not found on the common models. Rear entry such as this, until a few years ago, were very uncommon as personal-use wheelchair or scooter vans (most rear entry mobility-use minivans were being used for taxis or medical transport). The ramp and floor on this is designed for ease and no stress, as it has no electronics, nothing to adjust or fail. Super simple, lightweight and easy to use. You could say it's..."foolproof". This era of van when in harsh commercial use routinely surpass 200k miles and so this one, with 90k miles, should have much remaining life and great service ahead. Note Conversion happened in 2009 Status Rejuvenation has begun: I have recently acquired this van and the extensive rejuvenation process has begun, which is carried-out by various professional shops and specialists. If you are interested in securing this van for your future purchase (many of my vans are spoken for in this way prior to completion of rejuvenation) please feel free to call or mail me with any questions |

NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. I will post initial information here about each van as I purchase, transform, and then make them available for sale. From the time I purchase a van until my transformation process is completed, averages approximately 4-6 weeks. Please visit this page periodically. Thank you, Rick |
