2000 Ford Half ton with fancy touring/cruising conversion AND major mobility conversion
MILES 26,000 (total, actual miles), actual, total, Carfax-verified "one-owner" miles
Price: $19,600

General Description
This is a 1/2-ton standard length (not long or short) model with smallish "Triton" V8 (4.6 liter) and auto with overdrive. Notably, this motor is the relatively newer generation that has more power AND better MPG than the prior style...the best of both worlds. And this van began as a well-equipped XLT-type version that had such comfort and convenience features as: dual airbags; power windows, locks and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; stereo system, chrome front and rear bumpers, alloy wheels, etc.

Touring/cruising conversion
It was converted when new by a premium maker of what could be called cruising or touring vans. Of course, it has common power and convenience features, plus this super conversion includes such features as: upgraded interior fabrics and carpet; white paint and graphics of a complementary palate of silver/grey colors (very classy and relatively contemporary looking); functional running boards and wheel flares; fancy wheels; large tinted side windows with lower vents; wood interior trim accents; much fancy and adjustable interior lighting; many storage areas; rear seat folds to a bed; and much more

Mobility and Adaptive Features
This has a VERY long list of items, which make it wonderful, comfortable super nice. It was converted using primarily components from a leading industry manufacturer. Here is a list. Please do call for more detail if you have any questions

* Very tall doors and corresponding roof notch create generous inches of headroom/clearance when entering and exiting side door area, which is the lowest point of any point of the van. This lowest, worst-case number is apx 58 inches. Very few personal use vans have more entry clearance than this one. This is a super feature that some folks need and usually have a hard time finding in a personal use van. Even if it's not a "must have", it's very nice for any helper of the person in wheelchair, or for other family or friends going in and out.

* Power lift. Has a desirable platform, which is folding, meaning, that it folds into sections when stowed. This creates generous space for an able-bodied person to go in and out of the van when lift is stowed. And because this is a single-post life, there is no blockage of the area behind the front passenger seat. Therefore, that passenger seat can be reclined when lift is stowed. Plus, this van could be modified to allow a wheelchair to park in the front passenger location.

* NEW FLOOR IS A SUPER ENHANCEMENT: a puzzle in the nearly 9 years I have specialized in rejuvenating and improving wheelchair vans, is that I wonder why more wheelchair van creators and owners don't have such a feature as is now being added to this van. Although most folks tend to think of a floor in a van as being flat and level from the factory, it is actually far from it, and that results in a terrible surface to move a wheelchair van on. You see, under the factory carpet in a common van, there is a thick carpet pad and under that is, to one degree or another, a lumpy, bumpy, uneven metal floor surface. And in the case of most vans that are turned into a wheelchair van, there are also remnants from seats being removed, such as holes, tracks, mounting plates, etc. All of what I describe here results in a surface that is not nice to maneuver a wheelchair on. And there are misc unpleasant elements to live with. The diameter of wheels on most wheelchairs help to overcome these facts, but the usual floors are far from ideal. And so we solve that here. In the area that the chair/s will be moving, a specialist removes whatever materials are above the metal floor surface. And then they install quality plywood over the metal, to create a smooth, solid, level surface. (plus the floor becomes quieter) And then a nice material is put over the wood for cosmetic benefit. In this van, we used high-grade vinyl flooring material that is designed for being used in wheelchair vans. Once you have maneuvered your wheelchair on a floor like this, you would never want anything less.

* Will include 4 anchor straps for securing a wheelchair to the floor.

Preliminary Photos

Please consider these are "preliminary" photos and as such, they typically show the van in early stages of our transformation process. As a result you may see various flaws, which will be remedied prior to sale.

Gorgeous, top-level conversion

Super functional and very deluxe in every way

Such amazing, one-owner miles

Notice how tall those extended side doors are. Has more entry clearance than all but a few percent of wheelchair vans

Platform is wide and long enough for most wheelchairs, even large ones

Very fancy interior with much wood, storage bins in ceiling, custom lighting...super fancy

This seat power folds flat into a bed, or power reclines into any postion

Summary

This van is gorgeous and it has an overall level of conversion quality, function and easy access that is exceptional. Of course, it has absolutely, amazingly low original miles, by only one owner. This sweet, rare van won't last long. Please call to ask any questions, or to Reserve it for your ownership once rejuvenation has been completed.

NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. I will post initial information here about each van as I purchase, transform, and then make them available for sale. From the time I purchase a van until my transformation process is completed, averages approximately 4-6 weeks.

Dear Rick... I want to take this time to let you know how excited I am about the 95 Ford camping van that I bought from you. I just love it!! I truly appreciated your kindness, patience and understanding throughout the whole process. I also appreciate the quality of the van. You were nothing like those typical car salesman. You were friendly, cheerful and not pushy....and still gave me a great deal!!! I will certainly send folks your way.

Thanks again!
