Price: $14,900

General Description
This began as a standard length (not long or short) full size half ton. Has a 5.4 liter "Triton" V8 and auto with overdrive. Before receiving very many additional features, via the extensive conversions below, it had common power and convenience features such as: power windows, lock and mirrors; tilt wheel and cruise control; fancy wheels; tinted glass; chrome bumpers and grill; etc. Has recent CD stereo system.

Touring/cruising conversion
when brand new, this received a very extensive and fancy conversion by a company named "Choo Choo Customs". This includes features such as: moderately tall, contoured roof; large windows with vents and screens; rear seat that power folds flat (or reclines) and also has an extension to make it into nearly a double size bed; fiberglass running boards and integrated wheel opening flares; leather seats; additional interior and exterior cosmetic upgrades; storage bins; additional interior lighting; much real wood interior trim; plus more

2010 Mobility and Adaptive Features
In 2010 this received a very extensive package of mobility features, which enables it to be driven and operated by certain folks using wheelchairs, fully independent of assistance from any other person. Listed here are the primary mobility features in that package:

* SUPER NOTE: nearly new Braun HD power operated lift: this was new in 2010, but was only used for a few years (before the man was unable to leave his home) and not very often during those few years. Therefore, this lift, with a current replacement cost of apx. $6,500, is nearly like new. Has a substantial 750-pound capacity.

* Power-swinging side doors: there are special arms and motors that allow these doors to swing open when needed.

* Power operated turning seat: this special device has a new cost of apx $5,000! It allows the seat to have extreme travel up and down, fore and aft, plus the most important feature for folks in wheelchairs is that it is capable of turning/spinning apx 90 degrees. This device allows certain folks to transfer from their wheelchair into the drivers seat and drive from it.

* Hand controls: includes a nice system of hand controls. They can easily be removed if you don't want or need them.

* Special floor project will be included: this will have what is one of my favorite improvements on wheelchair vans, which is very helpful to the person in the wheelchair and able-bodied folks as well. I consider this feature to be an improvement that most wheelchair vans ought to have, old or new. You see, if you pay close attention to how floors typically are in personal use wheelchair vans, you will notice that they are usually not actually solid, smooth and level. Rather, they are somewhat lumpy, bumpy and not as easy to maneuver a wheelchair on as they can be. This is because the factory metal floor of a van is not actually smooth, it has ridges and contours...plus has a carpet pad which wheelchair wheels sink into a bit, creating resistance to maneuvering. Based on my specifications and design, this floor will be greatly improved beyond the original floor treatment by removing the existing carpet and pad, from the front seats all the way to the rear, and then installing wood directly over the lumpy, bumpy, contoured metal floor. And so it becomes a smooth, solid, level floor. Then, quality, commercial rubber-like flooring will be used to cover the wood. This material is tough and easy to clean.

* Anchor points: includes anchor points in several places in the mid-floor area, allowing a range of choices as to where to specifically position the wheelchair

* This may have a new wireless remote system to operate the power side doors and lift. If not, it has switches to operate these features from inside or outside of the van.

Summary

Ford vans were largely unchanged from 1992 through 2007. This one will be rejuvenated and updated to our usual very high level of condition and will seem to be many years more modern than it actual age. Plus, it has a level of features that is very hard to find in a van with great overall condition, good miles, and in this price range.

Status

Rejuvenation has begun: I have recently acquired this van and the extensive rejuvenation process has begun, which is carried-out by various professional shops and specialists. If you are interested in securing this van for your future purchase (many of my vans are spoken for in this way prior to completion of rejuvenation) please feel free to call or mail me with any questions

NOTE: I am always searching for more vans which are a nice addition to the mix of vans we have to offer. I will post initial information here about each van as I purchase, transform, and then make them available for sale. From the time I purchase a van until my transformation process is completed, averages approximately 4-6 weeks.

Please visit this page periodically.

Thank you,

Rick

Dear Rick... I want to take this time to let you know how excited I am about the 95 Ford camping van that I bought from you. I just love it!! I truly appreciated your kindness, patience and understanding throughout the whole process. I also appreciate the quality of the van. You were nothing like those typical car salesman. You were friendly, cheerful and not pushy....and still gave me a great deal!!! I will certainly send folks your way.

Thanks again!
