Options and Equipment THE VAN: This began as a well equipped Grand Caravan called a "sport" model. Has the 3.3 liter 6 cylinder and a very extensive list of features such as power windows, locks, tilt, cruise, power rear vent windows. Plus it has many more options such as: overhead console with trip computer; anti-lock brakes; dual heat and A/C ; upgraded stereo system and more THE GOODIES: Has tinted windows all around for 50% heat reduction and 99% UV blockage. Also has custom pinstripes which set off the gorgeous pearl burgundy paint very nicely. MOBILITY: This was converted when new by one of the two giants of the wheelchair van industry, Ricon. It is what is called a 'Vantage' conversion. This package includes a long list of desirable, helpful features and the conversion has been engineered in such a way as to make the use of the features easy and safe while being very reliable and comfortable. Here are the major features of this fine conversion: * Kneeling suspension, which lower the body several inches closer to the ground to make leading/unloading easier due to a shallower ramp angle * Power sliding passenger side door for one-button operation * Power operated ramp which is the most desirable style, called an 'in-floor' ramp. This is hidden away under the floor when not in use, therefore not blocking the doorway, as other styles do. And when you need the ramp, just flip the switch and it slides out to the ground and then easily back in and hidden when you are ready to go. * Easily emovable front seats. Once removed, floor is level, solid and easy to park the wheelchair on. Also, the floor has extensive anchor points for easy positioning of the wheelchair * Has an EZ-Lock electronic docking station for the wheelchair. This is a nearly $2,000 feature when new and makes loading and unloading the wheelchair super simple and fast. * Has 11 inch lowered floor which extends from the rear seat all the way to below the dash. This creates generous headroom and entry/exit clearance. This also provides for parking a wheelchair in the front passenger location if so desired, and also for driving from a wheelchair if that is what you want or need to do. Summary: these lowered floor minivans with a package such as this are surely the ultimate and most desirable of all wheelchair vans. This is true because there are no wheelchair vans which include more features, capability, versatility and quality engineering than a van such as this. One which has been converted by a division of either the Braun or Ricon companies. Dimensions, capacity and specifications: Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly. History of Ownership This is essentially a one owner van. It was bought new by the step-father of the lady I acquired it from. She was the executor of his estate and when he passed away it became hers to find a home for. History of Care Each of my vans receives a detailed (about 75 items) inspection by the general mechanic shop which I consider to be the finest in my area. Then, after discussing their report, I have them do what is needed to repair, replace or service items on the vehicle in order to reach my high standard of overall mechanical condition. And in case you may wonder, their process on each van does include an oil, lube and filter service. The aforementioned inspection, repair and service process is a major and very valuable element of my "Rick's rejuvenated" process. As a result of the above mentioned process, here is a list of some items which were cared for by the shop I speak of: * Transmission serviced * ABS brake unit replaced * Cruise control unit repaired and serviced * Radiator flushed and serviced * A/C system charged and serviced * Note: has 80-90% brakes front and rear In addition: as part of my 'Rick's rejuvenated'' process, each mobility/adaptive component is inspected, serviced, adjusted and repaired (if needed) by a different mechanic, who owns the premium company in this area which exclusively cares for wheelchair vans.
Carfax Report
Summary Nothing negative on the report, no accidents
You Might Like To Know... * A Dodge Caravan is essentially the same van as either a Plymouth Voyager or a Chrysler Town and Country. They are each made by divisions of the same parent company and share about 95% of the same components. * Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars. Summary of this Gem This van surely is one of the most desirable wheelchair vans possible in the price range. This is true because it has such low miles, has had one owner since new, and is so highly-featured. Add to those facts that it now has been extensively rejuvenated in every way. This is a gorgeous, versatile, wonderful van which will wonderfully suit the needs of most folks in wheelchairs and their families.
