Options and Equipment THE VAN: Began as Chrysler Town & Country LXi, the most highly equipped minivan any manufacturer (domestic or foreign) made in this year. Of vans which are cousins: Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Chrysler Town & County, the T & C is the most deluxe and of three trim levels available this has the top level. Has a very long list of features, much of which are NOT on other models of vans including: 3.8 liter motor; auto W/overdrive; ABS; fog lights; roof rack with cross-bars; dual airbags; various wood grain interior trim; variable front and rear wipers; common power and convenience features such as windows, locks, mirrors, cruise, tilt, etc; has dual heat and A/C with separate controls for driver/passenger; dual power seats, gorgeous leather (rare) seats, factory hi-power audio with cassette, CD and equalizer; dark windows; factory custom stripes; fancy alloys; remote entry; upgraded gauges... and more THE GOODIES: It does have a light duty tow hitch in case you want to tow a small utility trailer, etc. MOBILITY: overall, this is the most highly equipped wheelchair minivan I have ever seen. Below, I will list the features of the standard package of this amazing "vantage" van. This was built by Ricon, which is the second largest maker (in volume) of such vans and is very possibly the finest quality. * power sliding door * kneeling suspension * in-floor ramp (preferred by most people to the more common bi-fold style) * lowered floor, all the way to the dash * removable front seats and generous possibilities for locations to anchor the wheelchair throughout the van * Multiple locations of switches for operating these various features NOW, HERE IS WHAT THIS VAN HAS WHICH TAKES IT WELL BEYOND THE NORM FOR A FULLY CONVERTED VAN OF THIS TYPE: * Swivel transfer seat underneath the passenger front seat. This MAY be able to be put on the drivers side. (such transfer seats are desirable and for certain reasons are quite rare on minivans) * Manual ramp on the drivers side! This is the only van I have seen in the past two years which has this feature. Imagine: if for some reason it is not possible or is inconvenient to load/unload from the passenger side, you can use this drivers side ramp instead. Also, in case the power system or battery ever fails or the in-floor ramp has a problem, this ramp is your easy-to-use backup. And this ramp has what is called a "gate-feature" which allows this ramp to pivot outward allowing for easy entry/exit of passengers. Dimensions, capacity and specifications: Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly. History of Ownership This van has been owned by one person since new! It was bought new in California and then a few years ago the owners moved to Ashland Oregon (15 miles from my store in Medford). History of Care I can't imagine a van that has had better overall care during its life than this one. In addition to other undocumented instances of care, there are 17 instances which are indicated on the Carfax report of this van having been serviced at dealers and major shops. And then of course there has been the process you see below performed on this van, as with each of my vans. PLUS: This has nearly new Michelin tires, which cost about $800. Each of my vans receives a detailed (about 75 items) inspection by the general mechanic shop which I consider to be the finest in my area. Then, after discussing their report, I have them do what is needed to repair, replace or service items on the vehicle in order to reach my high standard of overall mechanical condition. This is a major and very valuable element of my "Rick's rejuvenated" process. In addition: as part of my 'Rick's rejuvenated'' process, each mobility/adaptive component is inspected, serviced, adjusted and repaired (if needed) by a different mechanic, who owns the premium company in this area which exclusively cares for wheelchair vans.
Carfax Report
Summary Nothing negative or derogatory on the report. There are 17 instances indicated of repair/service performed at dealers and major shops which happen to report to Carfax. You Might Like To Know... * This is the one... in my experience and opinion this is the finest minivan wheelchair van you could find for less than $20,000. Overall, if you consider the very exceptional list of features, low miles, one owner history and overall condition...well, lets just say that if you see and drive this van it becomes very clear how special this particular van is. * Each of my vans has a superb paint sealant as the final step of the extreme detail. If you were to have a professional apply a treatment the cost would be several hundred dollars. Summary of this Gem This van deserves the following very bold statement: there is no minivan wheelchair van available for under $20k which is more desirable than this one. Yes, if you consider its low miles, very exceptional list of features, one owner history and current overall condition...this is a VERY special van indeed.
