Options and Equipment

The Van:  This began as a well equipped 1/2 ton with small V8, full power and convenience features and much more.

The Goodies: Was converted when new by a conversion company and sold brand new as you see it now.  This was built by one of the premier conversion companies which I understand are still going strong.  It has the tall roof, very luxurious interior, lots of custom lighting, solid wood trim throughout, TV and video, and much more.

Mobility:  This has the very nice lift which was new in 2003.  And it has obviously been used very little. As you see in the photos, the platform divides in two parts, allowing a person to easily go in and out even when lift is stowed...this is a great feature.  This van also has a complete system in the floor for easily and securely anchoring the wheelchair and its occupant.

Dimensions, capacity and specifications: Please feel free to email or call me with any such questions. I will gladly assist with anything you wish to know. I have discovered that due to the unique way each person evaluates, measures and expresses their needs, I can be most helpful regarding this subject if we communicate directly.

History of Owners

This has had one owner since new.  Personal use only, no harsh business-type use.

History of Care

Although I don't have a specific file of records for the past care of this one, it is obvious that it has been taken great care of.  I personally drove this nearly 1,000 miles to get it from the owner and it ran, drove and performed just fine...before doing any servicing to it as has now been done.

Each of my vans receives a detailed (about 75 items) inspection by the general mechanic shop which I consider to be the finest in my area. Then, after discussing their report, I have them do what is needed to repair, replace or service items on the vehicle in order to reach my high standard of overall mechanical condition.  And in case you may wonder, their process on each van does include an oil, lube and filter service.  The aforementioned inspection, repair and service process is a major and very valuable element of my "Rick's rejuvenated" process.

* please call for details regarding the extensive care which was performed following the above-mentioned inspection.

In addition: as part of my 'Rick's rejuvenated'' process, each mobility/adaptive component is inspected, serviced, adjusted and repaired (if needed) by a different mechanic, who owns the premium company in this area which exclusively cares for wheelchair vans.

Carfax Report Summary

(Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.)

Nothing negative or derogatory on the report.  Shows as a Carfax "one owner"

You Might Like To Know...

* I checked gas mileage on my trip with this and it achieved as high as 18 mpg, which is pretty darn good for a tall, comfortable full size van with V8 power.  In fact, it gets within a few MPG of what the lowered floor minivan wheelchair vans get.

Summary of this Gem

What a wonderful van this is.  When you add it all up: one senior owner since new + very fancy conversion + newer lift of top quality and features + super low miles...this van is a solid value.  And it looks so nice that it could easily pass for being 1/2 its age.

With lift platform in folded position as it is here, it is quite easy for most folks to go in

and out when lift is stowed.

Note: this not only has the benefit of a folding platform, but it also happens to be a

single post lift (versus two post) which eliminates the limitation of having a second post immediately behind the front passenger seat which very much would inhibit

 adjustability of the seat

Lots of headroom, much nice wood trim, storage abounds.

Note:  this rear seat is power operated for moving forward and rearward, and also for laying flat into a bed
