Options and Equipment

THE VAN:  This is a standard length (easier to park and maneuver) model with SE package.   It has the more economical  (vs. a 6) and uncommon 4 cylinder.   It is well equipped with power windows and locks, tilt and Cruise, CD and more.  And yes, it is a 7 passenger, as seen in the photos.

Safety option: this one HAS very desirable, optional side airbags (super family safety)

THE GOODIES:  As part of my rejuvenation process, I had the windows tinted with special film.  This film blocks 90% of UV rays and 50% of the heat from the sun!  It also has custom striping for looking sharp and wheel opening moldings to avoid dings.

History of Ownership

Has had only two owners, the second acquired it with about 25k miles.

History of Care

As for printed history, I don't have a documented prior history of care on this one.  The Carfax report does indicate servicing at a dealer about 15k miles ago.  At that time it received brake service front and rear.   After having had the super mechanic mentioned below service this van, it now runs, drives and performs excellent.

Certified

This vehicle is 'CERTIFIED': There are a combined 76 mechanical and cosmetic aspects  included in the Wheelchair Van Oasis "Certification" process.   A foundational step of the rejuvenation process is that each vehicle receives an extensive inspection by an objective, independent  third-party service and repair facility.  Suggested service, repairs and improvements are then performed by various professional specialists.   The  result is your assurance  that each of the 76 aspects  meets  or exceeds the condition level of good, fine or satisfactory.

Each van does of course have various elements which exceed the promised level of good, fine or satisfactory, which the "Certified" program assures.  Some are brand new improvements performed during rejuvenation.  And others are obvious service or repairs performed recently, prior to my ownership.  As for those, I only list here those positives which are certain, based on my either having a receipt, and/or due to being obvious to the inspecting-mechanic.  I refer to these as  "NEW OR RECENTLY SERVICED ASPECTS".  As for this vehicle:

New: 

* New serpentine belt

* Major transmission service

* New air filter

* Rotors and drums turned for smooth braking

Carfax Report Summary

(Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.)

Nothing negative, indicates two total owners

You Might Like To Know...

* Dodge Caravan is essentially the same as a Chrysler Town & Country and Plymouth Voyager. 

*In the process of my research to determine fair-market value for this van I noticed that although there are many Caravans for sale, few in this price range have less than 100k miles as this one does...and they certainly are not immaculate as this one.

Summary of this Gem

This is a very sharp and well-cared for example of a minivan.  It is obvious when you see and drive it that it was never used hard, as many minivans have been.  No matter if you evaluate this one based on inside or outside appearance, or on how well it drives...it is a very nice, low mile van which exceeds others in this price range.
